Light Trail Photography is sometimes called Light Art Performance Photography or LAPP, which in itself, falls under the larger umbrella of light painting. He has been running workshops around Perth and WA showing how it is done for some time.
Over several years, Stephen has been quite successful in various competitions and his latest effort was winning a national Olympus "Test Drive" that has seen his images appearing on hundreds of bus shelters and billboards all around Australia, as well as in a host of magazines. He was chosen as one of 20 photographers Australia wide to test drive an Olympus camera and charged with creating "Anything But Ordinary" images. His Light Trail Photography was most certainly one of the main reason for him winning the 2011 competition outright.
