FotoFreo e-Newsletter
Issue 1: 7 December 2007
Welcome to our first e-newsletter
The details for FotoFreo 2008: The City of Fremantle Festival of Photography are now beginning to crystallise.
While the form of the event will be pretty much the same as for 2006, that is, exhibitions in a wide range of venues throughout Fremantle and Perth, a conference, seminar, audio visual projections and floor talks, there will be a much more extensive programme of workshops (in Fremantle and Perth) and informal afternoon lectures (at Kulcha in Fremantle). In addition, there will be guided bus and walking tours. More details of these activities will be published in this newsletter and on the FotoFreo website in the near future.
I would also like to urge you to update your 'subscriber profile' by re-registering your subscriber details together with the information about where you live and your special interests. We require this in order to complete the integration of our old database into the FutureMail software package.
To do this, go to the newsletter page on the FotoFreo website and click on ‘Subscribe’ to open up the subscription window. Fill in the required fields and at least one ‘interest’ then click on “Join Mailing List” at the bottom of the form.
When you do this, you will be told that “the email address supplied is already registered” and you are invited to “click here to update your profile”. This then requests your email address and a password which, in fact, you were not issued with when you first subscribed on the old website page. Your password will be immediately emailed to you. Copy this to the ‘edit profile box’, press enter and complete the profile update.
However, please note that in the ‘interests’ section there are two items of information you are being asked to indicate – your general place of residence (WA, Australia or overseas) and your own particular interests in regard to photography (and most probably there will be more than one or two of those). So please fill in this information as completely as possible.
This information is very important to us. We need it in order for FotoFreo to substantiate the nature of our audience to sponsors, potential sponsors and funding bodies alike.
