FotoFreo is a month long biennial festival of photography that showcases the work of Australian photographers alongside leading photographers from Asia, Europe and North America.
The 2012 Festival is now over and consisted of exhibitions, projections, portfolio reviews, workshops and a programme of discussions about the work exhibited and other issues relating to photography.
FotoFreo 2012 also included two photographic projects, one by Martin Parr, the other by Western Australian photographer Bo Wong. In addition, the Festival featured exhibitions of work from India which were curated by Devika Daulet-Singh together with a major solo exhibition by Indian icon, Raghu Rai.
The two commissions were accompanied by books about the photographs exhibited.
