Australians have purchased 12 million digital cameras in the last five years. There are more than 300 different digital cameras from which to choose. But are we taking better pictures? Are we taking photographs that will last 100 years? What is it that makes one photograph stand out from the crowd?
In a challenging two hour presentation, Western Australia’s leading photography educator, Dale Neill, will make the complex seem simple and the simple seem like fun.
Dale Neill is passionate about his photography. He communicates with enthusiasm, consideration, patience and humour and creates vivid and memorable images. By his teens, Dale was completely absorbed by the magic of photography. Dale is one of Australia’s leading photographic educators, teaching portrait and digital photography for UWA Extension and other educational establishments. He also conducts photography seminars and workshops for industry and leads Australian and international cultural and photography tours.
Dale is a Master Photographer in the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography), having gained Silver Awards each year he has entered. In the 2002/2003 Nikon International Awards, he was one of only five photographers in Australia to win an award. Dale won the WA Professional Photographer of the Year 2005 and the WA Commercial Photographer of the Year 2005.
