Many photographers keep journals – travelogues, visual diaries, memory joggers, personal outpourings. Any or all of these can be the natural by-product of a creative journey. So what function do they fulfil in the creator’s life and work? What impulses prompt the journal entry? And what happens or changes when the private journal goes public?
In addition Conversations between photographers will give you an opportunity to hear the inner workings of our guests’ approach to their craft and share anecdotes from colourful careers.
Floor talks will again be a highlight of the festival with evenings dedicated to learning more about the exhibitions on show and hearing first-hand the experience of creating the work.
